Tony G responds to critics!

Citizens of Louisiana,
Several months ago I decided to take on a monumental challenge. I decided to run for Governor of Louisiana as an Independent candidate. Being an unknown in the political world with no financial backing makes this task even harder. One may ask then why do it? In light of the current political atmosphere in Louisiana and the poor perception the rest of the country has on us I realize we have to change. Change must come from the top and work its way down. I believe as a Governor along with changing our dismal image the trust of the citizens has to be reestablished. Many of my critics state I have no experience in politics. I have no money. I have no party to fall back on. I can't campaign full time. I don't even have a college education. You know what they are right on every account. I have no political experience; I don't have millions to spend on a campaign. I have to work for a living. I chose to be an Independent candidate. I didn't go to college. Before I started this journey I read the Louisiana Constitution of 1974. In there is the criteria or needed qualifications to be Governor of Louisiana. None of the above issues were listed. I still need to understand what money and one's ability to do a good job have in common!
If you're looking for a leader, someone to take charge without waiting on a committee to form a consensus. I'm your candidate. I'm not a maverick; I am a common sense person that realizes actions speak louder than words. We have had enough words passed in Louisiana. It's time for action! A change of political philosophy is needed. Fair business laws, quality education, and the advancement and well-being of the citizens of Louisiana: these are the right aims of government. I stand ready to lead the People of Louisiana into a new era.
