My Plan for Ethics in Louisiana

One of my opponets has publically accused the legislature and senate in
Louisiana as being corrupt and fiscally irresponsible. That's a broad
statement that incriminates a lot of good people. Louisiana surely does
not corner the market in corruption. We just talk about it more and have a
history that haunts us. I say I'm looking forward to working our state
reps and senate in developing a plan that we can build on. Moving forard
is the key.

As I have said before I'm just an everyday person with good common sense.
Many of the issues that plague our state does not require a rocket
scientist and a slide rule. To me ethics is easy, doesn't cost anything. I
might have to ruffle a few shirts and hurt some feelings but that's okay,
that's what I'll be being paid for. The betterment of our state.

The goal is to make Louisiana #1 in ethics. My plan encompasses a four
year turn over. We didn't get here over night and we wont pull out
overnight. You have to start at the top. All statewide positions Governor,
Lt, Governor, Sectretary of State, etc. will have full financial
disclosure in 2008. In 2009 we'll tackle the Senate, in 2009 the
legislature, 2010 local and Parish governments. Effective immediately any
company or business awarded a new state contract will be subject to having
their books audited at a moments notice. We'll be looking for price
gouging and money trails. Make sure it's being spent on the projects and
not going into people's pockets.

We need to intitiate the plan and start moving forward with it. Once
business see's we're being progressive and leveling the playing field good
things will come our way. Louisiana has a lot to offer.
