Anthony "Tony G" Gentile
For
Louisiana
Governor 2007

Friends and Supporters,

First and foremost I want to thank all the people who
volunteered to help me in this campaign for the Governorship
of Louisiana. There is a little more than six months to the
first primary. I can't believe how fast the time is going!
It will be here before we know it.

When I decided to throw my hat in the ring I chose to run as
an Independent. I had a pretty good idea who the
Republicans were going to back as well as the Democrats.
The Democratic side fooled me as the Governor announced she
would not be seeking re-election.

In any case the situation in Baton Rouge is in dire need of
strong leadership. I'm going to insist that on a state
level party politics be left out in the parking lot.
Louisiana has scraped the bottom for so long we need
everything we got pulling from the same side of the rope.
No more tug of war. The battle in Baton Rouge should not be
Louisianans against Louisianans. It should be Louisianans
battling for Louisianans.

We're getting to a point where we need to get this campaign
kicked up a notch! Monday April 9th I'll be on the radio in
Lafayette. KVOL 1330AM. The folks there have been gracious
enough to give me one hour to introduce myself and answer
questions from the audience. It's time to let the
political parties know we have other plans!

As a grassroots organization loosely spread all over the
state we'll need to develop and means of communication to
close the gap. For those interested in fundraising, event
scheduling, etc you can reach me on my personal cell phone
985-789-0870.

I have been hesitant asking folks for their money. I
realize that they work hard for it. Being an unknown makes
it even harder for folks to lets loose of their funds.
That's understandable. I am registered and on file with the
Ethics Board. We can assure folks we're the real deal. I
truly believe word of mouth is the best form of advertising
there is. If that's all someone can offer I'll take it in a
minute! I do realize we are a visual society. We like to
see things! If I hear it several times I might remember it.

If I see it several times the odds of remembering increase
significantly. Whatever funds we can bring in will be
truly appreciated. I meet people everyday who are just like
us, looking for a better day in Louisiana. We're tired of
all the political games.

Again thank you for your help and support. I'll try to keep
the emails coming regularly to keep everybody updated. I'm
the kind of person that believes actions speak louder than
words. Too many words have been passed in Baton Rouge.
It's time for action.

You and Tony G! That's what's right for Louisiana!

Sincerely,

Tony Gentile
